Writer’s Block, Procrastination, and Help

Writer’s Block, Procrastination, and Help

I love writing, don’t get me wrong, but really let’s face it writing can be really hard when you don’t have any ideas that make you want to run off into the distance screaming to the world about it. Even then sometimes it’s difficult. I’m doing a writer’s group workshop and now I have to actually write and share stuff. That kind of freaks me out. I’m not really a share-y because when I do get excited enough to write something by the time I read it back I feel more like this:
And I realize the entire thing was crap and laugh loudly at myself and my own writing. So naturally I’m not eager to share it and have it laughed at by people other than myself, but I feel like it will be good for me and I can learn a lot. The only problem is I haven’t written in forever and I have no idea what to write about. I have writer’s block.
I’m supposed to write a dialog that reveals things about the character and shows their personality and have at least a scene of something done. But…
So I want all of you guys to comment below with a few random words and see if any of those words strike me like a bolt of inspiration.
Additionally, on an entirely different note, what would you guys want to learn from other bloggers? What topics would you want to get tips on or what would you like to learn how to do?
